Trustee Wayne Bigney

Wayne was first elected Township Trustee in November of 1992.  He has been a life long resident of Algoma Township...that's more than 80 years!  He currently is a retired dairy farmer, still activly helping out is son and grandson with the daily farm chores.  During Wayne's public service he has volunteered and served on the Algoma Township Parks & Recreation Committee, Planning Commission and the Cedar Springs Area Parks & Recreation Board as Chairman.

This photo was taken of Wayne and one of the family farm tractors in 1995.  Wayne is always ready to help were needed, here he was grading a new ball field at the Township's Chalmers Park located on the corner of Pine Island Drive and Fonger Avenue.
