Algoma Township is home to four parks, located in several locations around the Township, with a different focus for each.

Algoma Sports Park is located on the corner of Algoma Avenue and 13-Mile Road right next to the Algoma Township Hall.  This park is a sports activity based park, which holds a soccer field, two ball fields, a .64-mile walking path and small play area. This facility has a full restroom concession area with picnic overhangs.  There is also  a picnic pavilion that can be reserved by calling the township offices. The  Algoma Sports Park is home to the Algoma Little League, which totaled more than 200 players this year.

This park is also home to the new Helsel Memorial Garden.  Anyone wishing to donate a gift of $50.00 or more will have their name or memorial permanently placed in the garden.  For more information you can contact Julie Sjogren or Deb Ellenwood at the township office.

Chalmers Park is located on the corner of Pine Island Drive and Fonger Street behind the Algoma Township Fire Station. This is a neighborhood park with a picnic shelter, play area and two ball fields.

Trestle Park is our newest addition. The park is located on Summit Avenue, north of 13 Mile Road. This park is a nice stop along the White Pine Trail, where the old stone trestle can be viewed. Picnic tables are provided.

Camp Lake Park is also a neighborhood park, located on Bobolink Drive off Division Avenue. This park has a play area, picnic shelter and basketball court.  A large hill in this park makes it great for sliding in the winter.
