Payments
Checks are accepted only as conditional payment of taxes.  If your check is not honored by the bank, the tax is considered unpaid and will be restored to the tax roll without further notice.  A $25.00 NSF fee will be applied.  Failure to send or receive such notice shall not in any way prejudice the right to collect or enforce the payment of any tax.

It is always helpful to write your telephone number and permanent parcel # on your check.  Payment will be recorded on the date received…..NOT the date written on your check.  If paying by mail and you wish to receive a receipt, please include a self addressed stamped envelope along with your entire bill.

Credit Card Payments                                                                                                               
You can make credit card payments at the Township Office (3% convience fee), or through our Point & Pay Option or by telephone, 1.888.891.6064 option 1.  There is a 3% convenience fee charged by Point & Pay.  Example:  Payment amount of;  $400 - $999 / Fees of $12 – $30, etc.  Credit cards accepted are Visa, MasterCard and Discover.     For E-Check click Point & Pay link above; fee $3.00.

Partial Payments of Taxes are accepted.

Industrial Facilities Tax Exemption Payments
IFT Tax Bill due dates are September 14th and February 14th.  These tax bills are payable only at the Algoma Township Office. Failure to pay on time could jeopardize your IFT status.

Tax Receipts
Tax receipts can be printed for taxes paid in the current year or for any previous year.  Otherwise, stop in or call the Treasurer’s Office to request copies.

Escrow Accounts
If  you have an escrow account and this tax bill states: Informational Copy Only, your mortgage company or a tax service has requested your tax bill.   If you're unsure call your mortgage company or enclose a copy of this tax bill with your next mortgage payment.  Only the mortgage company or tax service can request your tax information.
