Clerk Judy Bigney

Judy was first elected Township Clerk in November of 2000.  She first moved to the Township in April of 1992 when she married her dairy farmer husband, Bob.  While serving as Township Clerk Judy has worked with the Algoma Township Historical Society to establish the Memorial Park located adjacent to the Township Cemetery on Grange Avenue.  Judy has also volunteered her time to the Kent County Clerk's Association as President and Treasurer and has served as Secretary for the Kent County Chapter of the Michigan Township's Association.  In 2011 Judy earned the Master Municipal Clerk Certificate through the International Institute of Municipal Clerks Association and she was nominated for the prestigious Michigan Association of Municipal Clerks "2011 Clerk of the Year" award.
